Enhypen in Tacoma: Chaos, Storms, and a Whole Lot of Energy

Fast forward to the soundcheck, and let me tell you, it was a VIBE. Not your usual “let’s warm up” soundcheck—this was more like a frat party with the boys just chilling and vibing with fans. It felt like a reunion, especially with Jay back. The boys were clearly loving the energy, and honestly, the vibe was just cute. Nothing too groundbreaking, but still, it was like watching your favorite friends have a good time.
Now, the stage setup? Nothing to write home about. Like, we weren’t expecting fireworks or anything, but come on—let’s add a little drama to that stage next time. The boys tried their best to engage with all the fans, and I gotta give them props for hitting every side of the stage—even the boondocks. That’s dedication.
The setlist was good, but let’s talk about that for a second: they could’ve totally thrown in their debut song. Just saying. We were ready for it. But they gave 100%, and the fans came through in full force, so I can’t complain too much. Honestly, the whole night was fun, engaging, and exactly what you expect from a K-pop group. And guess what? Their mics were on. (Thank you, Enhypen, for blessing us with clear sound.)

Where do I even begin with this one? Tacoma, you sure know how to keep things interesting. Enhypen, though, they really gave us the ride of our lives… but not before we survived a day of utter chaos.
Let’s talk about this line situation first. You thought waiting in line for a concert was bad? Honey, try camping in the rain and wind for days. I got there at 4 AM to see the fan-made line on the opposite side of the venue, and guess what? People were already there since Thursday. Yep, Thursday. Like, why are we doing this to ourselves?! Camping for a concert? Insane. But I guess if you want that VIP experience, you gotta earn it, right? Not to mention we had four storms during the wait. Wind burn, rain—it was an adventure I didn’t sign up for. I was just thankful I had an umbrella and jacket to save my life. Meanwhile, some of these people were just out there… barely dressed. Madness.

Now, let’s talk about the real show-stealer here: Heeseung. Can we talk about how this man nailed it? As a performer, he had the stage presence, the vocals, and honestly, he was one of the most genuine when it came to interacting with the fans. He was feeling himself, and we were feeling him back. Heeseung brought that level of commitment that made the performance feel real. The others? They started out a little nervous, but by the end of the night, you could tell they were giving 1000%.
And can we talk about the Tacoma Stomp? I mean, if that isn’t a moment of the night, I don’t know what is. The crowd was hyped, and when that stomp happened, you knew we were all in this together. A real vibe. Honestly, I could feel the energy from the fans through the entire venue, and it was one of the most fun concerts I’ve been to in a while.
Overall, Enhypen did what they do best: entertain, engage, and make sure everyone had a blast. Tacoma, you didn’t disappoint. I just hope when these boys come back, you remember how we showed up for them.
Next time, let’s do it bigger—and hopefully not in the middle of a storm.
Until next time,
Yours Truly
