Purplekiss in Seattle: From ‘Meh’ to ‘Wow’ – A Surprise Performance That Delivered

So, I wasn’t exactly a Purplekiss stan before I went to their concert, but a friend who’s obsessed with them dragged me along—and let’s talk about what went down.

First things first, the venue was not what I expected. I swear, it looked like a community center, which sounds meh, but honestly? It gave off this cute, cozy vibe. Honestly, I kinda liked it. The most surprising thing though? The organization. I mean, hello, Kpop tours take notes—Purplekiss’s tour was on point. This isn’t a knock on any other groups, but damn, I’ve seen better organization at kids’ birthday parties than some of these bigger concerts. Kang Daniel, I’m looking at you. But Purplekiss? They knew what they were doing.

Now, let’s talk VIP benefits. I didn’t know what to expect—I wasn’t even a stan, after all—but damn, I was pleasantly surprised. A group photo, a high touch, and an actual soundcheck. Yes, an actual soundcheck. No backtrack nonsense, no gimmicks—just pure vocals and unfiltered choreography. I was impressed. This is how it should be done, people. They also did a Q&A session, which was actually pretty cool. Fans wrote questions while getting merch, and I have to say, it was a unique way to engage with the crowd.

Now, let’s talk about the real stars of the night. Swan and Chaein? They are on another level. I swear, these girls can sing their asses off. The vibes? Very MAMAMOO. If you’re a fan of Solar and Wheein, you’re gonna vibe with these two. And when they covered “Unholy” by Sam Smith and Kim Petras? Let’s just say, the mics were on, and they killed it. They sounded amazing, and the energy was on fire.

Yuki and Ireh were cute too, with their cover of “Ping Pong” by HyunA & Dawn, and they slayed it as well. Overall, all the girls brought it, but Swan and Chaein were really the stars of the show.

The best part? Their interaction with the fans. Whether it was on stage or during the high touch, you could tell they were genuinely humble and cared about their fans. No fake shit here—just real connections, which was nice to see.

Would I say I was screaming and losing my mind? Nah, not really. But I will say I had a damn good time—and that was a pleasant surprise. Purplekiss, y’all did your thing, and I’m definitely not mad at it.

Purplekiss until next,

Yours Truly!
